August Newsletter

Well the heat is on but the course is still in great shape so get out early in the day and enjoy a great round.  August is going to be a busy month, we start with aerifying the greens on Monday and Tuesday the 7th and 8th.  On Monday the back 9 will be open as they work on the front 9, there is a chance that the front will open later in the day Monday so it is possible you could play all 18.  Then on Tuesday for most of the day only the front 9 will be open with the back 9 hopefully opening later in the day.  The impact on the course is very minimal and will be playing well on Wednesday.  Thanks for your patience while we perform this procedure that is necessary to keep the green in great condition.

Later in the month we will be hosting the Northwest Open for the 6th straight year the 21st through the 23rd.  Come out and watch some of the best pros and amateurs in the Northwest try to capture the crown.  If you are interested in volunteering for the event there are several spots available to do so, please call the golf shop if you are interested.

The following week on the 29th and 30th we will be hosting the Washington State Men’s Mid-Amateur.  There will be 120 of the finest amateur players from the state competing for the Championship.  They will also need volunteers if you are interested in helping.

September brings some of the best weather of the year and we are not hosting any major competitions during the month so please come out and enjoy some great weather and course conditions.  See you soon.
